Norway’s leading orchestra is a 107-piece ensemble which undertakes some 68 performances at home and another 22 on tour every year. Based at the Oslo Concert Hall, the orchestra tours overseas extensively – past tours have included the UK, Switzerland, Japan, China, Taiwan and South Korea. Recordings include 30 releases on EMI and Chandos in addition to Norwegian labels. The orchestra has released several recordings (R Strauss, Stravinsky, Brahms) on Simax.
