Stable September sales

Domestic music sales remain stable in September.

The latest sales figures from the Norwegian IFPI indicate a 1% reduction in overall sales compared to last year.

Sales of physical units fell with 6% compared to last year while digital downloads rose with 54%.

So far in 2009, 4,8m physical units have been shifted, resulting in a turnover of NOK 312m. 5,5 digital units have been downloaded and 250 streams generated, resulting in a NOK 64m turnover.

As of September this year, combined digital and physical sales in 2009 are down 2% compared to 2008.
