St. Thomas launches US tour

St. Thomas takes time off from the studio to tour the US with the Boredoms.

St. Thomas 2003

While his loyal fans wait for St. Thomas’ upcoming fifth album, Thomas Hansen heads for the US to tour with the Boredoms in April. St. Thomas will play 13 East Coast shows as a support act for the Boredoms from 7-21 April and five West Coast solo shows from 23-30 April.

St. Thomas recently finished recording his upcoming album in the Athletic Sound Studio in Halden, one of Norway’s top recording studios that has been the choice for such bands as Madrugada.

The as of yet untitled album is scheduled for release in August on Racing Junior in Norway, Misra Records in the US and Track & Field in Europe.

St. Thomas latest outing was last year’s Let's Grow Together – The Comeback of St. Thomas, a DVD documenting a 2003 St. Thomas tour in Europe, and an exclusive 7", Winter Spring EP.

Says St. Thomas on the new material: "I sing better and I understand more of the technical matters. I have improved enormously as a live artist. I have become better to handle the whole thing and to communicate with the audience. The audience is part of the show, and I invite them along. I am more relaxed as an artist. When I succeed, the night becomes magical."
